Description
With inelastic neutron scattering we investigated the magnetic excitation spectrum of Nd3+ ions in the ordered state of the perovskite NdFeO3 between 2 K and 210 K. At temperatures below the spin-reorientation of the Fe moments we observe an inelastic response of the Nd ground state doublet due to the Zeeman splitting. Above SR the spectrum becomes quasielastic. This means that the molecular field at the Nd ions is fluctuating above TSR and becomes static below TSR
