Application of neutron low energy sources for activation analysis for molybdenum and tungsten in sewage
- 1. AN Uzbekskoj SSR, Tashkent. Inst. Yadernoj Fiziki
Description
A possibility of simultaneous determination of Mo and W in waste waters with the aid of the Cfsub(252) source and neutron generator has been considered. A mixed layer of sorbent consisting of a cationite KU-2x8 and anionite AB-17x8 has been used for preliminary separation and concentrating of Mo and W. The conditions of concentrating have been studied and dynamic exchange capacity of the mixed sorbent on Mo and W has been determined. The results obtained with the Cfsub(252) source and neutron generator agree with the data of colorimetric analysis. The sensitivity Mo and W determination is sufficiently high. The root-mean-square deviation is within the range 12-16%
