Time-resolved spectrum of light reflected from laser plasmas
Description
The time-dependent spectrum of 1.054μm light reflected from spherical targets has been measured for intensities in the range between 0.4 and 10 x 1015W/cm2. The spectra are primarily blue-shifted and are consistent with a Doppler-shift model. When compared with hydrodynamic code simulations, they provide valuable information on flux-limited thermal transport and suprathermal electron transport
