Medical electrical equipment - Part 2: Particular requirements for the safety of radiotherapy simulators
Description
Radiotherapy simulators use X-ray sources for simulation of radiotherapy beams. The requirements are stated related to X-ray equipment used in the simulators. The standard applies to simulators consisting of the following parts: the system producing a radiation beam with an energy of up to 400 kV, the system producing images of the transmitted beam, the device controlling the size and configuration of the radiation beam, the mechanical structure simulating the movement of the radiotherapy equipment, and the irradiation table.
