Crystal and magnetic structures of A-and B- site tuned double perovskites (AA'BRuO6) for solvent-free conversions of alcohols to carbonyls

  • 1. Department of Chemistry, National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra 136 J 19, Haryana (India)

Description

Perovskite oxides are important and exciting due to their structural variety, strange magnetic and exceptional electronic behaviour. Here, a series of new disordered perovskites, AA'BRuO6 (where A and A' are Ca, Sr, La; B is 3d-transition element), have been synthesized by conventional solid-state method using all binary oxides. All the synthesized materials were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and crystal structure elucidates by fullproof rietveld refinement. The present material has various applications in the field of energy and catalysis (electro- and photocatalysis) which enhances its demand for industries academic s and research laboratories
