Safety of dealing with tritium and its compounds
Description
General regularities of tritium and its compound behaviour at different stages of the process, its human intake and basic requirements to equipment and protective means, as well as arrangement activities aimed at safety are considered. Attention is paid to the problem of monitoring when dealing with tritium. The monitoring is subdivided into 2 groups: personnel monitoring of tritium content in a human organism; rapid preventive monitoring of environmental radioactivity at operator's positions as well as of radioactive waste disposal, including monitoring of tritium release into the atmosphere and disposal into a water reservoir. Problems storage and disposal of tritium production wastes are considered
