Main results of the experiment with an electron accelerator at the Polar-5 rocket
Creators
Description
Electron beam - atmosphere interaction has been investigated using the ''Polar-5'' rocket launched into the upper atmosphere high-latitude region. Low energy electron spectrum, luminescence at 391.4 nm wave length and induced by an electron beam delayed effects are analyzed. It is shown that collective plasma-beam interactions prevail at higher latitudes (above 160 km). At intermediate altitudes (130-150 km) collective and collision processes are concurrent, and at low altitudes (below 130 km) the prevalence of collision processes is observed
