Description

This paper gives some examples of use of gaseous position-sensitive detectors in applied fields other than elementary particle physics. The applications are grouped by family of devices: Optical imaging chambers, conventional and unconventional multiwire chambers, microstrip gas chambers, and span over a wide range of applications, from astrophysics to biology and medical research.
