Study of materials with an artificial thermo-emf anisotropy
Description
In order to obtain an artificial heterophase material possessing an anisotropic thermoelectromotive force and consisting of alternating strips of semiconductor and metal solid solutions Bisub(x)Sbsub(2-x)Te3 (1); Bisub(1-x)Sbsub(x) (2), and Ag2TeS (3) are used. Proceeding from the requirements of high electrical conductivity and good physicochemical compatibility with the semiconductor Sb and Al are chosen for the solid solution (1) and Ag - for (2) and (3). The dependences have been calculated and investigated experimentally of the thermal electromotive force coefficient and the specific resistance on the angle of inclination of the metal strips and on their relative width for the indicated heterophase materials. Qualitative agreement of the calculated and experimental results has been obtained
