Power distribution requirements for transient proof testing in 37-pin bundles
Description
The effect of power gradients on the transient thermal response of 37 fuel pin test bundles has been investigated. It is concluded that in order to achieve adequate thermal simulation in a transient proof test, a radial power distribution having an intrabundle maximum-to-minimum of 1.15 is required. Further, an intrapin power depression of 1.6 to 1 surface-to-centerline is acceptable
