Compession and heating of laser plasma at the axis of a conical target
- 1. Joint Inst. for Nuclear Research, Dubna (USSR). Dept. of New Acceleration Methods
Description
Physical processes in laser plasma at the axis of the conus in a solid target, formed at focussing in its base the CO2 laser radiation with the flux density up to 1010 W/sm2, are considered. As a result of collision of supersound flows of the substance plasma at the exis compresses up to densities higher the critical n > 1019 sm-3, plasma temperature reaches approximately 5x106 K. These calculation data are in a good agreement with experimental results on the output of multicharged ions of light elements
