Effect of X radiation and thermal shocks on germination, survival, growth and sex ratio of hemp plants
Description
Air dry hemp seeds were irradiated with doses from 5 to 20 kR. Part of them was kept, before sowing, for 2, 4 and 8 hours. A thermal shock decreased the survival of irradiated seeds due, mainly, to mortality of females (that are originally more radioresistant) whose fraction in crops decreased in proportion to decreasing survival of plants
