Description
This review article is divided into five parts. The Introduction contains some examples of dusty plasmas in the Universe and in the laboratory. This is followed by a brief section describing the mechanisms by which dust particles acquire an electrical charge in plasmas. The next section provides theoretical background for understanding the effect of dust on waves and instabilities in dusty plasmas. A description of some of the experimental studies of waves in dusty plasmas is then given. A few concluding remarks are then made
