Description of inclusive reactions in quark model
Description
The additive quark model is extended to correlate various inclusive cross sections. A set of relations are obtained including those which relate cross sections in the negative x region with the positive x region, x being the Feynman variable. A selection rule is postulated which leads to further consequences in the fragmentation region. These predictions are in agreement with experimental data on pion production over a wide range of energies.
