Description

Workplace monitoring comprises measurements of the local dose rate, measurements of the contamination of surfaces, persons and objects, and measurements of the activity levels of the room air. Measurements of radioactivity levels of waste water and waste air, although they are to protect the population rather than the laboratory staff, are part of an integral monitoring concept. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Schwerpunkte der messtechnischen Arbeitsplatzueberwachung sind Ortsdosisleistungsmessungen, Kontaminationsmessungen an Oberflaechen, Personen und Gegenstaenden, sowie Messungen der Radioaktivitaetskonzentration in der Raumluft. Aktivitaetsmessungen in Abwasser und Abluft dienen zwar vornehmlich dem Schutz der Bevoelkerung, sind aber dennoch Teil eines integralen Ueberwachungskonzepts. (orig.)
