Spectrum of aqualuminescence from γ-irradiated NaCl in the presence of xanthene dyes
Description
An enhancement in aqualuminescence has been studied as a function of the concentration of some of the xanthene dyes like fluorescein, eosin Y and pyronin G. The spectrum of aqualuminescence was recorded for each dye at the optimum concentration due to the dissolution of γ-irradiated NaCl. The mechanism of luminescence has been explained on the basis of the corresponding electronic and fluorescence spectra of these dyes. (author)
