Incompressible conducting fluid motion in self-consistent strong magnetic field

Creators

Description

Approach to analysis of self-consistent magnetohydrodynamic problem in asymptotic approximation is employed for the case of incompressible liquid with finite electric conductivity. A reduced closed system of MHD equations obtained from complete model in zero order by A-1 minor parameter, in which magnetic field is forceless, was considered. Free diffusion of forceless magnetic field with a constant coefficient of proportionality α between current density and magnetic induction in spatially unrestricted liquid is investigated and kinematic properties of its velocity field, in which forceless character of magnetic field is not violated in the process of attenuation, are determined. It is shown that the whole class of the velocity fields is represented by group of solid state motions of the liquid
