Influence of deposits on fuel pins and pin spacers of the fuel subassemblies on the temperature increase distribution of the fuel subassemblies in KNK II/2

Description

Post-irradiation examinations of two fuel subassemblies of KNK II/2 have shown deposits of impurities of the sodium on the fuel pins and the pin spacers. It is shown in the report, that these deposits can be the origin of the differences between the measured and the pre-calculated temperature increases of the fuel subassemblies

Nachbestrahlungsuntersuchungen an zwei Brennelementen der KNK II/2 haben gezeigt, dass Brennstaebe und Abstandshalter an ihren Oberflaechen Ablagerungen von Verunreinigungen des Natriums aufweisen. In dem Bericht wird gezeigt, dass die Ablagerungen die Ursache fuer die Abweichungen zwischen den gemessenen und vorausberechneten Aufwaermspannen der Brennelemente sein koennen
