Analysis of loading characteristics of non-self-quenching counters

Description
To increase speed of response of non-self-quenching counters, main causes of low speed of response of the counters and methods of their elimination are considered. A simple formula for calculating time of voltage restoration of the counter as well as formula of calculated load characteristic are suggested, the calculation and experiment were compared; an equivalent (calculated) scheme is suggested and expressions for calculating amplitude and other parameters of electric pulse are given; a scheme of possible superpositions of pulses is given; dependence of de-ionization rate on R0 and C, where C-counter volume, R0-limiting (quenching) resistance, is shown; switching circuit permitting to extend the range of measured dose rates is suggested
