Analysis of electrical properties of thin-film specimens in the process of phase transformations of solid solutions of cadmium sulfide and telluride

Description

Phase transformations in layers of cadmium sulfide and telluride solid solutions synthesized under non-equilibrium conditions were studied by the methods of electron diffraction and electron microscopy, as well as by measuring temperature dependences of photo- and electric conductivity. It was ascertained that thermally activated decomposition of solid solution CdSxTe1-x (x = 0.4-0.6) into two phases with x1 = 0.1-0.2 and x2 0.78-0.99 is accompanied by a short-time increase in the system state density and a spasmodic change in the Fermi level of the system and its subsequent monotonous relaxation to a new equilibrium value
