Method for the fabrication of a superconductor with a layer of the A15 phase of the system Nb-Al-Si
Description
The process according to the invention consists mainly of two stages, i.e. first the production of a firmly attached layer containing niobium, aluminium and silicon on the surface of the niobium carrier which is introduced into an aluminium melt containing niobium and silicon heated up to 850 to 1,3000C. The second stage is the formation of the A 15 phase of the Nb-Al-Si system by a heat treatment of the coated niobium carrier lasting at least 0.5 seconds at a temperature of 1,800 to 1,9500C. Das erfindungsgemaesse Verfahren besteht im wesentlichen aus zwei Schritten, naemlich erstens der Erzeugung einer Niob, Aluminium und Silizium enthaltenden, festhaftenden Schicht an der Oberflaeche des in die auf 850 bis 1.3000C erhitzte, Niob und Silizium enthaltende Aluminiumschmelze eingebrachten Niobtraegers und zweitens der Bildung der A 15-Phase des Systems Nb-Al-Si durch eine wenigstens 0,5 Sekunden lang dauernde Gluehbehandlung des beschichteten Niobtraegers bei einer Temperatur von 1.800 bis 1.9500C.
