Description
An ideal repository retains pollutants for periods which are determined by the cycles of the rock-forming materials; up to their entry in the biosphere, remaining pollutant residues undergo a dilution to normal values the influences of which are comparable to those of natural material concentrations. Safety considerations with regard to the repository sites of Gorleben and the Konrad mine in the Federal Republic of Germany are presented in brief. (orig./RB)

Ein ideales Endlager haelt Schadstoffe fuer Zeitraeume zurueck, die durch die Kreislaeufe der gesteinsbildenden Stoffe bestimmt sind; verbleibende Schadstoffreste erfahren bis zum Eintritt in die Biosphaere eine Verduennung auf uebliche Werte, deren Auswirkungen mit denen natuerlicher Stoffkonzentrationen vergleichbar sind. Standortbezogene Sicherheitsbetrachtungen fuer die Endlagerprojekte Gorleben und Schachtanlage Konrad in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland werden kurz vorgestellt. (orig./RB)Additional details
