Mechanism for suppression of linear Tearing mode by a feedback

Description

Using numerical solutions of the MHD equation system, it is found that suppression of the Tearing mode by feedback currents at a linear approximation occurs due to the fact that plasma perturbation induced by feedback currents is transformed to resistant perturbation of such a sign, that total resistant perturbation in plasma disappears. A possibility, to develop instability found numerically in the plasma system plus feedback occurring due to the fact that the magnetic probe of feedback changes together with the Tearing mode flow and the perturbation flow induced by feedback currents, is shown. A model, when a plasma filament has a cylindrical form, and feedback winding covers all the plasma cylinder, is used
