Compressibility effect on hydrodynamics and heat transfer in subsonic flows of viscous gas in channels with recirculation regions
Creators
Description
On the basis of Navier-Stokes complete equations for compressed gas a numerical parametric study of compressibility effect on flow structure and heat transfer intensity in a plane channel with asymmetric abrupt divergence at Reynolds number of 100 ≤Reo≤ 1000 and temperature factor 0.5 ≤ Tw ≤ 2 iscarried out. The investigations testify to the fact that compressibility effect on main characteristics of subsonic recircular flows of viscous gas in channels is noticeable under conditions when maximum local values of Mach number of Mmax flux are near 1 (Mmax≥0.8). In other cases for calculation of the given flow class asymptotic form of complete Navier-Stokes equation system may be used with sufficient accuracy at Mo→0
