Synthetic doublets from 234U alpha-particle spectra for assessing accuracy in peak fitting

  • 1. Commission of the European Communities, Geel (Belgium). Central Bureau for Nuclear Measurements
  • 2. Centro de Investigaciones Energeticas, Medioambientales y Tecnologicas, Madrid (Spain)

Description

A series of well-characterized doublets has been constructed from 234U alpha-particle spectra to compare fitted peak-area ratios and positions with the known values. Results obtained using fitting models at CBNM and CIEMAT are discussed. (orig.)
