Beta enhancement of thermal diffusivity due to long wavelength modes in tokamaks

Description
Electromagnetic corrections to the quasi-linear anomalous thermal diffusivity due to long wavelength electrostatic modes in tokamaks are investigated in terms of the semilocal kinetic dispersion relation. The diffusivity increases with β almost linearly through self-consistent modification in the eigen-frequency and growth rate. (author). Letter-to-the-editor. 15 refs, 2 figs
