Short term profile variations in α Eridani (B4Ve), P Carinae (B4Ve) and ε Capricorni (B3IIIe)

A series of high-resolution, high signal-to-noise ratio observations of Hα, helium and magnesium line profiles for three Be stars, αEri, P Car and εCap, are presented. Methods used in the data processing and the characteristics of the short term variability of the helium and magnesium lines in the three stars are described
