Remediation concepts for uranium mining
Description
Several Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) have a history of uranium mining and milling. The European Commission has initiated the Phare Multi-Country Environmental Sector programme 'Remediation Concepts for the Uranium Mining Operations in CEEC' in order to develop appropriate management practices for these liabilities and to assist the governments of these CEEC in planning rehabilitation work of the sites concerned
