Description
We show that the color dipole model, which exhibits the properties of color coherence and parton-hadron duality can be formulated in terms of effective superstring amplitudes, i.e. tree superstring amplitudes depending on a running coupling constant and a running slope. These parameters are constrained by the compatibility with perturbative QCD and by the consistency of string quantization
