Description
The effectiveness of carbonic ions with relative energy was evaluated according to the magnitude of the genetic impairment (reciprocal translocations) induced in murine spermatogonii. The relative biological effectiveness (RBE), assessed by the correlation of the coefficients of linear regression from the translocation yields for carbonic ions and standard gamma irradiation, amounted to 1,2. Taking into consideration the various values from 1,2 up to 1,5 in relation to the dose rates, it was assumed the mean value of the RBE coefficient 1,3
