Zusammenfassung: An einem unbestrahlten Reserverod für das Experiment R2-K13 wurden entsprechend den Wünschen der GA einzelne Wiederaufarbeitungsschritte, die später an bestrahlten Brennstoffrods erfolgen sollten, erprobt. Die Arbeiten wurden in den heißen Zellen des ICT durchgeführt. Bei einer sorgfältigen visuellen Inspektion der ausgeschleusten, abgebrannten Teilchen zeigten sich auf einigen SiC-Schichten rote Flecken, ein weiteres Teilchen schien nur noch als SiC-Hohlkugel zu existieren. Rasterelektronenmikroskopische Untersuchungen ergaben, daß es sich bei den Ablagerungen um schwermetallfreie SiO2-Verbindungen mit Eisen, Na und möglicherweise Al handelt. Die Bildung der Ablagerungen wird auf die Thorexlaugung vor dem Verbrennen zurückgeführt.Files
