Possibility of observations of recombination lines in the solar radiation

Description

The intensity of the HI recombination emission nα with quantum numbers n=24-36 are estimated for the quiet Sun. It is shown that relative line intensities are within the interval 10-2-10-4. It means that such lines can be observed by existing radio-receiving equipment. It is concluded that observation of recombination lines is the base for a new method of investigation of solar low chromosphere
