Nuclear fuel element
Description
For a fuel element of a BWR with steadily cooled fuel rods and a longitudinal fuel box with rectangular cross section, the fuel rods are arranged at a distance in the meshes of an imaginary grid installed in the box with its sides running parallel to the box walls; the cross section of a prismatic water pipe arranged at a distance from the fuel box covers more than one mesh of the imaginary grid while everywhere between the water pipe and the fuel box there are meshes which are occupied by fuel rods. Bei einem BE eines SWR mit gleichmaessig gekuehlten Brennstaeben und einem langgestreckten Brennelementkasten mit quadratischem Querschnitt sind die Brennstaebe mit Abstand voneinander in Maschen eines in einem Kastenquerschnitt gedachten Gitters mit zu den Kastenwaenden parallelen Seiten angeordnet; der Querschnitt eines prismatisch ausgefuehrten Wasserrohres, das Abstand vom Brennelementkasten hat, deckt mehr als eine Masche des gedachten Gitters ab, waehrend sich ueberall zwischen dem Wasserrohr und dem Brennelementkasten Maschen befinden, die mit Brennstaeben besetzt sind.
