Pyrochemistry assessment at CEA - Last experimental Results

Description
The lab-scale experimental results of the R and D program on pyrochemistry conducted by CEA/DEN indicate that the fluoride melts are promising for the actinides/lanthanides separation, either by liquid-liquid extraction or electrolytic separation; moreover, as their direct confinement into a glass matrix has been already and successfully proved, this kind of melts has now to be considered as a potential medium for pyro-reprocessing. However questions regarding the technological implementation are crucial and have to be evaluated
