Schlieren method with narrow screen for electron density determination in a plasma

Description

A modification of the schlieren method is described using a narrow screen with an adjustable width placed into the focal plane. Calculations of electron densities in current sheath inhomogeneities and in current sheath compression by choosing simple models of plasma inhomogeneities are described
