Instrumentation and control system for Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 3 of The Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc

Description
New Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 3 (1,100-MWe BWR) called the H-3 Plant, of The Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. was put into commercial operation last August. In the H-3 Plant, advanced technology has been adopted for the electric, instrumentation and control system to implement improved reliability and operability of the plant. The new centralized monitoring and control system, ''PODIA'', improves both monitoring and operability, while the highly reliable reactor control system, improves major-system controlability. There is also a high-precision semiconductor pressure transmitter, S/C DISC, and in the process controller, 'TOSDIC', digital techniques are applied. (author)
