A micrometeorological perspective on deposition
Description
An expression for the dry deposition velocity is given in terms of constant flux layer scaling. Numerical values of upper bounds on the deposition velocity is given for a typical situation. Some remarks are then offered on the relative merits of various ways in which the combined diffusion-deposition process is usually modeled. It is concluded that a great deal of caution should be exercised in the interpretation of K-model results. (author)
