Investigation of reactions in solution in potassium hydrogen difluoride melt at 250 C
Description
This research thesis reports the investigation of potassium hydrogen difluoride (KHF2) melt at 250 C. Electrochemical measurements have been used to study the dissociation equilibrium on the HF2 ion. This equilibrium defines the acid-base properties of this solvent and allows the prediction of possible variations of the acidity level which can be noticed. The author reports the study of the electrochemical behaviour of some metallic ions, and the comparison of melt KHF2 with other fluorine environments (mixing water-HT, anhydrous hydrogen fluoride)
