Description
A study has been carried out to investigate the electrochemical behaviour and the microstructure of sacrificial anodes with different Sn concentration. In this work, samples of Aluminum alloy with addition of Sn in the range of 1.0 % - 1.7 % were tested in tropical seawater environment at room temperature. Tafel technique was used to evaluate the corrosion behaviour and SEM-EDX used to confirm the existence of Sn precipitate in the aluminum alloy. (Author)
