Engineering improvement and verification on the optimization software of in-core refueling design for PWRs

Description

All the present optimization software of in-core refueling design for PWRs fails to consider the actual design requirements, the on-site operation requirements and the relevant safety accident analysis restrictions. None of software has been used. Combined with the actual engineering experience of refueling design, this paper gropes for the relationship between the core loading scheme and the main refueling design requirements, the on-site operation requirements and the safety accident analysis limitation (mainly the limiting value of the reactivity accident). The main influence factors are analyzed quantitatively, and judgment and experience are summarized. All these research results have been used in the optimization software of refueling design using feature statistical algorithm, and the optimized software which can be applied directly to the actual core refueling design has been successfully developed. Through the engineering inspection, it is shown that the optimized software is highly effective and practical, which can be directly used in the actual nuclear power plant's core refueling design.
