Use of engineering scale models in decommissioning nuclear facilities
Description
The use of engineering scale models as design tools for chemical process plants has been well developed for over 25 years. Within the past ten years models have been similarly well developed for application to commercial nuclear power plant design. As the nuclear industry prepares to decommission the first commercial nuclear power reactor, this study presents the applications of this tool to the decommissioning process. 2 refs
