Interrelation between the ionosphere electrodynamics and thermosphere circulation for self-consistent description of the Earth upper atmosphere

Description

Effect of electric fields of dynamic origin and magnetospheric convection on the thermosphere dynamic regime is studied through the method of numerical modelling. The calculations were accomplished on the basis of the model for summer conditions, high solar activity and two cases of magnetospheric electric field. It is shown that effects of dynamo-field constitute approximately 10-20 m/s in horizontal components of wind velocity and manifest themselves at the height of 140 km at day time and practically during twenty-four hours at the altitudes of the ionosphere F2 area
