A high dose rate dosimeter based on PMMA

Description

A poly-methyl methacrylate (PMMA)-based plastic material doped with a squalene according to our Laboratory protocol, has been tested as a dosimeter of γ radiation. These responses are function of absorbed dose and the duration separating the irradiation and the measurement. This property allows us to arrive at a chrono-dosimeter which could be used for example, in industrial irradiation to control the storage time of ionized products. (Authors). 3 refs., 1 tab., 3 figs
