Relativistic spin precession in two-body systems

  • 1. Max-Planck-Institut fuer Physik und Astrophysik, Muenchen (F.R. Germany)

Description

The spin precession of each component of a two-body system is calculated by means of the parametrized post-Newtonian approximation to metric theories of gravity without preferred frame effects. This calculation is carried out in view of an application to the recently discovered binary pulsar PSR 1913 + 16. (orig./BJ)

Abstract (German)

(orig./AK)
