Effect of 222Ra treatment on biochemical parameters of the blood in patients with active chronic hepatitis
Description
The influence of 222Ra on the behavior of the concentration of immunoglobulins, on the proteinogram of the serum and the activity of the aminotransferases in 28 patients with chronic active hepatitis in the health resort Ladek Zdroj was studied. During 20 days the patients received 15 minute inhalations of natural 222Ra and 16 of them additionally 222Ra-containing mineral water 'Jerzy' for drinking. Under the influence of the cure in the blood serum a significant increase of the concentration of albumins and a decrease of the gamma globulins, of the immunoglobulins IgA and IgG as well as of the activity of ALAT was stated. In all patients the examination revealed the improvement of the general condition and a decrease of subjective complaints. The balneological climatic treatment in Ladek-Zdroj had a positive influence on patients with chronic active hepatitis without negative side effects. (author)
