Defect electron centres in lead molybdate crystals
Description
Defect electron centres are described, which are created in PbMoO4 crystals after X-raying them at LNT. The absorption and thermoluminescence properties of these centres are investigated. The afore-mentioned methods of investigations allow the correlation of these centres to different stitial sites within the PbMoO4 lattice. There is found an analogy of the abovementioned effects to the bound polarons observed in very pure YAG crystals. (author)
