Kinetics of reaction of Np(VI) with H2O2 in tributyl-phosphate

Description

The reaction of Np(VI) with H2O2 is studied by spectrophotometry in 100% TBP in the range 25-45 degrees C. The reaction rate is first order in Np(VI), increases with increasing water and H2O2 content, and decreases with increasing acid concentration and Np(V) accumulation. The mechanism of the reaction is discussed
