Synthesis of yttrium, lanthanum, praseodymium and lutetium alkoxides and acetylacetonates

Description
A convenient preparative method of Ln and Y alcoholates synthesis was suggested. The method involves metals or their hydrides dissolution in corresponding alcohol under the action of anhydrous HCl and dehalogenation of obtained LnCl3 solutions by equivalent amount of alkali metal (Na, Li). Rare earth alcoholates obtained readily form acetylacetonates Ln(acac)3 under the action of acetylacetone
