Description

The scientists from following countries took part at the NATO advanced research workshop: Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Austria, USA, Czech Republic. The activity was conducted in eight sections. Section 1 was devoted to the problems of radiation-environmental monitoring in the Caspian region. Section 2 was devoted to natural and artificial sources of radioactivity in the Caspian sea. Section 3 was devoted to radiotherapy and radiodiagnostic. Section 4 was devoted to radiation safety problems in oil industry. Section 5 was devoted to export control of nuclear materials. Section 6 was devoted to new methods and technic of dosimetry of ionizing radiation. Section 7 was devoted to environmental impact electromagnetic fields, radar stations. Section 8 was devoted to NGO activity in the Caspian region on radiation safety
