Description

The Fermi-Virtual-Photon (FVP) method produces fairly accurate energy loss spectra, which can be used to calculate straggling functions (frequently called 'Landau functions') for the simulation of the ionization in TPCs. In this paper I want to show its differences from Landau-type calculations
